This is one of few combo products that does both functions right. I had this as a gift from a friend and I loved it since day one. Both functions, picture display and weather station, are decent enough to challenge the standalone products. Picture display is bright and color is vivid. The weather station alone worth the money as it has more functions then some other standalone weather station products. It displays Indoor temperature, outdoor temperature using an included wireless sensor, indoor humidity, 24-hour weather forecast based on the air pressure changes in the last 4 or 5 hours, which I found pretty accurate. You won’t be regret if you have it.

Best Price on the web. Just bought a second one. Load your pictures onto an SD chip up to 2 GB. Very good picture resolution. Can automatically run a slide show, or you can stop it on any photo. It has a built in Temperature display that also forecast the weatheer. It uses an outdoor wireless remote module along with built in hardware. Based on Temperature and Humidity trends, it estimates your weather forecast. It does a pretty good job.

This was received as a gift at Christmas, 2007. The unit looks cheap and the image quality is terrible to the point of being unacceptable. Also – THERE IS NO INTERNAL MEMORY – so the unit only works if you leave your memory card in the slot on the side! In other words, you can’t store a single picture in the display. It has been many years since I have been so disappointed by a consumer electronics product.

My husband gave me the Polaroid Digital Picture Frame and for the first year it worked, the picture quality was questionable but to the degree that it didn’t bother me at first. Then the other shoe dropped after the first 15 months the weather station didn’t work for the inside temperature. The outside was fine but the inside was registering HHH with 99% humidity, since it wasn’t raining inside my home I knew there was a problem with the inside temperature sensor. I first emailed Polaroid and did not receive an answer which I thought was rude and unprofessional, if you have a web site with an email address specifically generated for any questions about your product have the courtesy of responding to the email and I waited three weeks for a response. I then called Polaroid, a representative of Polaroid told me that the inside temperature sensor had gone bad. I said to him well do you have a repair service in my area I can take it to or send it back to you as I knew it was out of warranty but the frame at the time it was purchased was over $100 with the tax!! His reply, no it can’t be repaired. Now if you’re going to sell a product for that kind of money you should have a repair or replacement plan in place. I absolutely WILL NOT BUY A POLAROID PRODUCT of this type ever again!!! My very strong suggestion, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT it will stop working quickly and you get no support from the manufacturer!

I received this item as a gift and it has been in use for approximately 4 months. I recently disconnected the unit for a few days, reconnected it and it would not display images. The weather station feature stil works. Polaroid support reminded me that it only had a 90 day warranty, it was no longer covered, and the cost of repairs would match the cost of a new unit. The lack of quality and support is remarkable.
