It maxed at 170 pictures, regardless of size, type, etc. Yet, the box advertises "500 Pictures". I was using internal memory, and there was over 200MB free, yet I still got "destination drive out of space". I believe this is a limit per folder - I could create subfolders and add more pictures, but no way to display pictures in another folder that I could see. I'm returning it - what sealed the deal was the utterly clueless tech at Sony. After repeating myself 6 times, I logged off. <br /> <br />So, if you will only use limited number of pictures - I wanted a large, per year slideshow of kids - this is Ok. Otherwise, look elsewhere. In clock/picture display mode, the clock display was on the time of the picture that was taken and not the current time. All other clock modes including calendar mode display the current time. I called the SONY tech support and they had no infomation but suggested to return the product. I don't know when SONY will have a firmware update for this model. But what a disappointed thing that it does not come with a USB cable for PC connection!! I tried 3 cables that I have for different cameras but none of them were matching the Mini USB that this frame has! Sony is Sony; everything is unique... I was so upset that I couldn't send it out on time and my mom won't get my gift before her birthday because I have to order another little piece of cable and wait for another few days! Feel disappointed about the poor packing list design of Sony and product info presentation of Amazon.
